"Thank you for looking after me...I'm delighted with my new dentures"
At HQ we can provide a full range of dental implant solutions ranging from simple single tooth replacement to very advanced treatments that cannot be performed without an onsite laboratory like ‘all on 4‘ and zygomatic implants.
We can provide guided implant placement which is a more accurate and quicker way of putting the implants into the bone – this makes healing time quicker and provides a much better patient experience.
Single implants can be used to replace individual missing teeth and provide a long term and healthy alternative to either a partial denture or a conventional bridge (which usually involves cutting down healthy adjacent teeth)..
Dental Implants can also be used to hold dentures firmly in place.
Single Implants
Single implants usually come in three parts. The actual implant is a piece of titanium which is inserted into your jaw bone; your own bone then grows around and fuses to the implant making it incredibly strong (this process usually takes around 12 weeks).
If bone is required it is usually inserted at the implant placement appointment and then a peg (or abutment) is screwed onto the implant. Finally, a custom-made crown is cemented or screwed onto the abutment.
Because the implant is made of three components, it means that if ever your crown is damaged it can easily be removed and replaced.
All our crowns and bridges are individually customised by our onsite technicians to perfectly match your other teeth and this is one of the main advantages of coming to us for your treatment.
The start to finish Treatment time for single implants is usually 12 weeks and normally involves 5 appointments:
Appointment 1: Implant assessment and CAT scan
Appointment 2: Implant placement
Appointment 3: Implant exposure
Appointment 4: Pick up impressions and technician colour matching
Appointment 5: Crown and abutment fit
Our Implant team co-ordinate to cater for all stages of implant work and work with all major implant systems.

Single Implants with Two Teeth
It is also possible to restore two teeth with just one implant.
Implant Bridges
Implant bridges are a cost effective way of replacing several missing teeth and filling larger gaps in the mouth, restoring more teeth with fewer implants.
‘All on 4’ Full Arch Implant Retained Bridges
Now recognised as one of the greatest advances in dental medicine, All on 4 offers patients a safe and immediate way of replacing all their failing or missing teeth with a complete set of natural looking fixed permanent teeth. At roughly half the price of conventional treatment, All on 4 is also highly cost effective. Find out more about this treatment here.
Zygomatic Implants
Zygomatic implants are very advanced implants that can be placed in the upper jaw when there is simply not enough bone for conventional implants (the bone in both your upper and lower jaw will start to shrink (or resorb) as soon as teeth are lost).
Zygomatic implants are extra long implants which connect with the cheek bone or underneath the eye socket allowing patients even with severe bone loss to benefit from fixed new teeth.
Implants for Denture Wearers
Implants for denture wearers can be truly life changing. Denture wearers usually find that their dentures (especially lower dentures) can be loose and unstable making biting and chewing, and sometimes speaking, a real problem which can sometimes affect their diet and have serious health implications.
Dental implants can be used to very successfully connect with and hold dentures firmly in place completely restoring function and allowing the denture wearer to eat normally again. The dentures can still be removed for cleaning but can then be firmly ‘clipped’ back onto the implants.
Lower dentures usually require only two implants but the bone in the upper jaw isn’t as strong which means that upper dentures usually require at least four implants.
Special Equipment
We are CAT scanner equipped…
Our state of the art cone beam CAT scanner is an amazing piece of equipment which provides a three dimensional scan and clearly shows us the position and density of your bone. This allows us to ‘virtually’ plan your treatment …..the software also allows us to produce implant guides which means that we can provide guided implant placement which is more accurate and much quicker and makes for less time in the chair and a more pleasant experience.
PRF Equipped
Our PRF (platelet, rich, fibrin) machine separates blood platelets from plasma which can then be used to ‘plug’ wounds. We sometimes use this machine for large or complex cases and it helps to prevent blood loss and speeds up the healing process.
PRF can also make treatment possible for some patients with rare or detrimental blood disorders.
